Course Overview

This Master of Public Health programme is designed to meet the growing demand for professionals who are committed to managing and leading preventative health services across both communicable and non-communicable diseases. The course focuses on developing current healthcare knowledge alongside strong digital and data literacy skills, enabling you to support effective health service delivery and improved outcomes at population, community, and national levels.

The programme offers a flexible and contemporary learning experience, with content informed by collaboration with public health employers and industry advisory groups. A variety of teaching approaches and assessment methods are used to support the development of your knowledge and practical abilities in public health, ensuring you graduate with the specialised skills required for a successful career in the sector.

As public health practice becomes increasingly digital and data-driven, this course prepares you to work confidently with modern technologies. You will develop proficiency in a range of digital tools such as SPSS, NVivo, Stata, Gorilla, and similar platforms. This includes learning how virtual simulations are used to model, predict, and plan for future infectious and non-infectious disease outbreaks, as well as how to respond effectively to real-world public health challenges.
