It’s time to apply for student finance!

Full-time undergraduate 2022 to 2023 applications are now open! It’s important to apply as soon
as possible so your funding is in place for starting your course.

Before you apply, you should check what types of student finance are available and if you qualify
for student finance.
The two main types of student finance are:

Student loans

Maintenance grants

All eligible full-time higher education undergraduate students entering higher education can get a
Student Loan for Tuition Fees. The loan will cover any amount up to the full amount you’re charged
for tuition fees. However, the total amount you can get through grants and the Student Loan for
Maintenance will depend on your household income/ benefits (for example, your income, together
with your parents’ or partner’s income).

For European Students

If you apply late, your
money might be late too!

You can get a Tuition Fee Loan of up to £9,250 which we’ll pay directly to your uni or college.

Who are eligible to apply for Student Finance?

In order to qualify for a student loan, you must be studying at a recognised or listed college or university on a full-time course. These are institutions that can legally award degrees or are affiliated to those that can. You must also be a UK national or have settled status. And you need to have been living in the UK for at least three years prior to starting your studies.
